GOOD GOVERNANCE VALUES
We advocate good governance and requires fair legal frameworks that enforced impartiality. It also requires protection of human rights, particularly those of minorities. Our good governance structure adheres to internal and external mechanism and independent audits. Good governance requires fair legal framework that will serve as the guidelines in all our non-profit activities towards the entire organizational structure. It establishes reporting lines and performance measure that help monitor all of its activities by ensuring that business stays on track. We have formulated a good governance model such as get the right people on board, define and agree the board’s role, employ and support the Founders, Chairman, President and Board of Directors, provide strategic leadership and make the board meeting count and employ the right people. The Non-Profit Management with numerous tasks collectively ensures optimal organizational structure such as directing financial budget, managing personnel and ensuring that our fundraising tactics and strategies remain compliant with government regulations.
THREE MAIN PILLARS OF NON PROFIT GOVERNANCE The three main pillars of MPS Friends of the Earth Foundation Non-Profit Governance are transparency, accountability and responsibility for the best interest of our organization. These three are critical in running our organization and forming a solid relationship foundation among its stakeholders, which includes boards of directors, employees, donors, sponsors and philanthropist. The members of our Non-Profit Board focus on high level strategy, oversight and accountability of the organization. This contrasts with employees or managers who oversee the day to day operations of the Non-Profit. The major characteristic of our good governance includes participatory, consensus-oriented, accountable, transparent, responsive, effective and efficient, equitable and inclusive and follows the rule of law.
